Post on a Denied Drone Authorization

What This Image Shows

A light-mode screenshot of a post from an account shown as Jeff Fenske, handle @JeffFenske, posted twenty hours before capture, with a YouTube preview card titled "Charlie Kirk Eyewitness Interview - Henry Dell."

The post reads: "Sounded like a 'crack', not a high-powered rifle, and Charlie Kirk's security team was denied authorization to fly a drone to protect Charlie from a sniper by the university police, who said they'd take care of it, which they obviously did not." The preview card describes the interview subject as having stood 15 feet from Kirk.

Two separate threads meet in this post. The sound description feeds the acoustic argument about what kind of report witnesses actually heard, and the denied drone authorization goes to the record on drones at the venue and on protective arrangements being restricted. Both are documented in this archive on independent grounds; the account here is a summary of a witness interview rather than a primary record. See Drones, Witnesses and Security.
