Investigators tracking aircraft around the case flagged the flight and asked an open question — what business took Vice President JD Vance to Las Vegas that day, roughly three and a half months before the September 10, 2025 assassination. Why this aircraft is in the catalog​

This jet is not placed at UVU or over Orem. It surfaces in the investigation's aviation tracking as a separate VIP-transport data point — a C-32A operating as Air Force Two months before the assassination. It is logged here for completeness alongside the other government and VIP aircraft (the Hegseth-linked SAM 99-0404 C-37A and the N1098L Army ISR jet) so the full set of flagged tail numbers is preserved in one place.

It is also worth keeping straight because a C-32A in the Air Force Two role appears again in the case timeline the day after the killing — the September 11, 2025 flight that carried Charlie Kirk's casket. This is the only logged movement of 99-0004 tied to the case material.
  • September 11, 2025 — casket transport (separate entry). A C-32A in the Air Force Two role transported Charlie Kirk's casket the day after the assassination, with Vice President Vance accompanying and reportedly helping carry the casket on the tarmac. That respectful, openly reported flight is documented on the Air Force Two Casket Flight page and is not the same flight as the May 27 Las Vegas record above.

Post-assassination memorial transport​

Beyond the May 27 Las Vegas record, the 99-0004 airframe (and the C-32A / Air Force Two role it flies) appears in the case material again as part of the official government aviation response to the assassination. The facts below are drawn from X posts and public coverage of the memorial period and are recorded here so this tail number's full memorial role is preserved on one page. They are factual logistics of an openly reported, respectful event — nothing here alleges wrongdoing by any person.

  • Coffin transport to Phoenix. According to X posts circulated during the memorial period, Air Force Two / 99-0004 was used in post-assassination logistics to carry Charlie Kirk's coffin from the event area to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for the memorial service. Posts noted the aircraft wheels-down in Phoenix.
  • JD Vance carried the coffin aboard. Public coverage and X posts reported that Vice President JD Vance personally helped carry the coffin onto the aircraft — a widely photographed moment during the loading on the tarmac.
  • Departures from Joint Base Andrews. The aircraft was also involved in departures from Joint Base Andrews for the memorial event, consistent with its role as the Special Air Mission fleet's staging base for Vice-Presidential movements.

Theories about the aircraft's role​

These are open questions and unverified observations, not conclusions. There is no evidence in the case material connecting this aircraft to the September 10 assassination.

  • OSINT flight-watchers raised the May 27 Las Vegas flight simply as an unexplained VIP movement worth a public answer — what the trip was for. No claim of wrongdoing accompanies it.
  • A separate strand of commentary notes that Vice President Vance was later, in the case period, in Islamabad for US–Iran peace talks (a context discussed elsewhere on the site). That is unrelated to the May 27 Vegas flight and is mentioned only to keep the two from being conflated.
  • The most defensible reading is the simplest: this is a routine government VIP movement that an investigator flagged for transparency, and the open question is benign until records say otherwise.
