Williston (KXWA) — 23 April 2024
One arrival. It is on this page because of what it makes visible about the four that followed it a year later.
On 23 April 2024, SU-BTT flew Cairo → Paris–Le Bourget → Williston, North Dakota → Provo, Utah, landing at Provo at 12:13 pm. Charlie Kirk was at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City that same day, forty-five miles north, doing a Prove Me Wrong event. SU-BND had already been parked on the Provo ramp since the 19th.
This is the tightest sourced pairing anywhere in the pre-2025 record, and the flight leg is one of the few the independent audit marks accurate — its index 26 reads, in full: "Acc 4/22-23. Williston code XWA."
And there is a second thing on this page, which nobody has stated:
Every Utah-bound rotation this fleet ever flew entered the United States through North Dakota. Williston in 2024. Minot four times in 2025. Five flights, two years, two small northern-plains fields, zero exceptions.
The airport
| Name | Williston Basin International Airport |
| Identifiers | KXWA (ICAO) / XWA (IATA) |
| City / State | Williston, Williams County, North Dakota |
| Class | Small commercial-service airport carrying the International designation — which is what makes it eligible as a first point of landing from abroad |
| Opened | October 2019, replacing the older Sloulin Field International Airport (ISN) on a new site north-west of the city |
| Why it exists | It was built for the Bakken shale oil boom — a purpose-built replacement able to take larger aircraft than the field it succeeded |
| Distance to Provo (KPVU) | ~750 miles |
How unusual is a foreign government jet here
Very. Williston is a small oil-patch airport in a town of around 30,000 people, roughly 60 miles from the Montana line and about 20 miles from the Canadian border region. Its scheduled traffic is regional. It is not a place transatlantic government aircraft turn up.
But the anomaly is not that Williston is small — it is that Williston is in North Dakota. A Cairo–Utah trip has obvious first-landing options with full customs and long runways: Salt Lake City itself, Denver, Las Vegas, or the East Coast fields this same fleet used every week on the way out. It used none of them.
This is the identical argument the Minot page makes about 2025, and Williston is the reason that argument covers two years instead of one. The same operator used conventional hubs — Omaha, Detroit, St. Louis — as entry points for its Nebraska, Michigan and Missouri rotations. Every Utah rotation went to North Dakota instead.
That is a consistent choice across five flights and two years, and no published account explains it.
Where the records are
This is the practical consequence and it is the same one the Minot page makes:
US customs and border processing for everyone aboard this flight happened at Williston, not at Provo. Every published claim about who was on these aircraft — passengers, contractors, crew — has been directed at Utah. The 23 April 2024 entry record is in North Dakota, and nobody has asked North Dakota for anything.
Between Williston in 2024 and Minot in 2025, the entire US entry record for the Provo rotations sits with CBP in a state nobody in this investigation has contacted.
The foreign side
| Date | Aircraft | Type | Mode S | Arrived from | Departed to | Time on ground | Onward |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 23 Apr 2024 | SU-BTT | Dassault Falcon 7X | 0101D3 | Paris–Le Bourget (from Cairo 22 Apr) | Provo (KPVU) | same-day transit | Provo 23–28 Apr, then Wilmington 28 Apr, Cairo 30 Apr |
The wider rotation, both aircraft:
- 19 Apr 2024 — SU-BND arrives Provo, having flown Cairo → Paris → Goose Bay → Salt Lake City → Provo. The audit's correction to the spreadsheet's version of this leg is explicit: "No the plane didn't fly from Provo to Paris, then back to Salt Lake. Route was on 4/18 Cairo-Paris, 4/19 Paris to Goose Bay, Goose Bay to SLC, SLC to Provo. Then sat there until 12July."
- 23 Apr 2024 — SU-BTT arrives Provo via Williston, landing 12:13 pm. Both Egyptian aircraft are now on the Provo ramp at once.
- 28 Apr 2024 — SU-BTT departs Provo for Wilmington; Cairo on the 30th.
- ~12 Jul 2024 — SU-BND finally leaves Provo, after roughly twelve weeks on the ground.
Two aircraft, one ramp, one week — and one of them stays the rest of the spring. That is the 2024 shape of the thing that happens again, longer, in 2025.
The Kirk / TPUSA side

Erika Kirk is not placed at this event, or in Utah, on this date by any source. As on every page in this section carrying an Erika-side question: her flight logs are reported as erased, and the Erika half of the 73-count rests on a claimed location rather than a record.
The overlap table
| Date | Foreign tail | Foreign movement | Kirk / TPUSA side | Gap | Arrived from | Departed to | Transponder | Confidence | Audit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 23 Apr 2024 | SU-BTT | Williston transit → Provo 12:13 pm | Charlie Kirk, University of Utah, Salt Lake City | Same day | Paris–Le Bourget | Provo (KPVU) | on | Strongest pre-2025 pairing | Accurate — "Acc 4/22-23. Williston code XWA" |
| 19 Apr 2024 | SU-BND | Already parked at Provo | — | 4 days earlier | Goose Bay → SLC | Provo | on | Context | Route corrected by audit |
The gap, stated explicitly: same day. The aircraft landed in the Provo valley at 12:13 pm; the event was in the same metropolitan region on the same date. What the record does not establish is a time-of-day relationship — the event's start time is not in any source consulted, so "same day" is as tight as the evidence goes. It is not "same hour" and this page does not claim it is.
A conflict in the sources, recorded rather than resolved
Two independent researcher timelines place a Charlie Kirk Salt Lake City appearance against a Provo aircraft stay, and they disagree about the year.
- The three-column chronology circulated on X puts it in 2024: "April 23rd: Charlie was in Salt Lake at University of Utah doing a Prove Me Wrong event", alongside "April 23rd: BTT flies from Cairo via Paris through to Williston, ND to Provo. Lands at 12:13pm."
- The @AlsaceTX overlap timeline graphic places "Charlie at Salt Lake City University" inside a 2025 block labelled "Provo / SLC, Utah (4/19–4/28)."
The 2024 reading is the one supported by the flight record — the 19 April Provo arrival and the 23 April Williston-to-Provo leg are both 2024 events, and both are confirmed by the audit. The 2025 graphic appears to have carried the same date range into the wrong year.
Recorded here because the disagreement is itself a finding. Two sources that look independent are probably the same claim propagated twice, and the propagation introduced an error. That is worth knowing before either is cited.
Sourcing
- The flight leg — the overlap spreadsheet behind the 73 claim, index 26, and its independent audit, which marks the row accurate and supplies the airport code: "Acc 4/22-23. Williston code XWA."
- The Provo landing time (12:13 pm) and the Kirk-side event — a researcher-compiled three-column chronology circulated on X, colour-coding SU-BTT flights yellow and SU-BND blue, with the key "TAIL#: SU-BTT (Falcon 7X) 12-16 PASSENGERS" and "TAIL#: SU-BND (Gulfstream 4) 12-16 PASSENGERS."
- The SU-BND route correction — the same audit, its note on index 25.
No primary record supports any of it. No Flightradar24 screenshot for the Williston leg has been published — the captured aircraft histories for this fleet do not reach back to April 2024. The Kirk-side event is uncited: no ticket page, no venue announcement, no contemporaneous post has been produced for the University of Utah appearance. The strongest pairing in the pre-2025 record rests on an uncited line in a researcher's timeline, and that has to be said before it is used.
The counterargument
- Williston has the International designation and customs eligibility. It is a legal first point of landing and using it breaks no expectation on paper.
- It is on a plausible line. A northern-route transatlantic crossing makes landfall in that latitude band; XWA is not a detour so much as a landing at the point where one becomes possible.
- The Kirk-side event is uncited. A same-day pairing built on an unsourced calendar entry is one correction away from being no pairing at all. If the University of Utah date is wrong, this page's headline claim goes with it.
- Provo is a Falcon and Gulfstream maintenance destination. John Cullen attributes the Provo stays to Duncan Aviation service work under a relationship traced to 1999; an aircraft arriving for maintenance arrives whenever the shop slot is, and the Kirk calendar is coincidence.
- One overlap is not evidence. This page documents a single arrival. The pattern is the claim, and a single dramatic same-day landing proves nothing on its own — which is precisely why the North Dakota entry pattern across five flights matters more than this one date does.
What we do not know
- The CBP entry record for 23 April 2024 exists at Williston and has never been requested. Neither has Minot's, for any of 2025.
- Who was aboard. No manifest for any leg of this aircraft, at any location, has ever been published.
- How long SU-BTT was on the ground at Williston, and whether anyone joined or left there.
- What time the University of Utah event started, which is the difference between "same day" and something tighter.
- Whether the University of Utah event happened at all on that date. It is uncited.
- Why North Dakota, twice, across two years, for every Utah rotation and no other. This is the open question the page exists to pose.
- Whether the fleet used Williston more than once. The captured ADS-B histories begin in late 2024; anything earlier is invisible, and the auditor's "Data doesn't go back this far" applies.
