Witness & Audio Conflicts

If Tyler Robinson fired a .30-06 from a rooftop ~120 m away, witnesses near the tent should predominantly report a heavy rifle crack. Citizen compilations instead highlight pistol/fireworks-class sound descriptions, false all-clear alerts, and eyewitness photo mismatches — all reported conflicts, not proof of another shooter.

This website does not assert as fact that any living person named here committed a crime, did anything wrong or illegal, or had any knowledge of or involvement in the assassination. Names appear only in the context of public discussion, and nothing here is a finding by this website.

Witness Nick — not a large-calibre sound

@MuppetMasher interviewed Nick, a UVU witness who says it is hard to find anyone describing a large-calibre rifle:

  • Many heard pops, fireworks, smaller calibre or pistol sounds
  • None in Nick's experience said .30-06
  • Nick's trajectory description is flagged as interesting in the thread

False "suspect in custody" alert

UVU GRAMA threads (@danksterintel) document a campus alert 19 minutes after the shooting stating suspect in custody when the suspect was not — leaving ~10,000 students on campus believing it was safe. Wrong early custody claims undermine trust in same institutions' Tyler narrative.

Construction crew vs FBI photo

Public commentary quotes Mr. Hope: officers showed construction workers a photo that did not resemble the person they encountered post-shooting — while narrative converged on Robinson. See Gun Discovery.

Black-clothing descriptions

Witness descriptions characterize the shooter's appearance as black sunglasses, C-mask, trench coat, cargo pants, small backpack — not maroon-shirt Tyler packaging. Overlaps Stairs Guy Gap and Black Clothing Suspect.

Zachariah Qureshi — announced then discarded?

According to public reporting, Zachariah Qureshi was within ~25 feet of Kirk; Kash Patel reportedly rushed to announce him as shooter. Qureshi was questioned and released (with a later obstruction case noted). Commentators ask if he was a distraction patsy before Robinson's selection. There is no public finding that Qureshi shot anyone.

Deleted eyewitness media

Witness accounts allege cell footage deleted by the time people got home — if true, independent audio/video corroboration of .30-06 vs pops is lost. See Censorship.

Professional audio split

Acoustic Two-Event Split — Canon XA55 separates tent event from distant rifle — complements ear-witness "not .30-06" accounts.

Citizen Investigator Claims on X

(Challenges to the lone-rooftop /.30-06 attribution — Robinson is charged and presumed innocent until proven guilty.)

  • July 2026 preliminary-hearing coverage on X was split: some accounts called the state’s DNA/video package “ironclad”; others (and defense reporting) stressed ATF inconclusive ballistics, DNA-method challenges, and “little mysteries” on scene gaps.
  • Long-running citizen threads still highlight acoustic two-event claims, backpack/rifle concealment doubts, stairs-guy clothing mismatch, Miranda vs Discord timing, and GSR/physical-test gaps — see sibling pages under Proof Not Tyler.
  • Page focus: Witness & Audio Conflicts. Competing official and citizen narratives both deserve documentation; neither substitutes for a completed trial record.
