The Tactical Roof Run
:::caution Charged, not convicted Tyler Robinson is charged, not convicted. This page describes measurements and inferences published by a citizen investigator about a figure visible in surveillance footage. No court has adjudicated any of it, and nothing here establishes who that figure is. :::

On July 29, 2026, Sam Parker (@BasedSamParker, ~143,000 followers) published a set of annotated frames and an aerial overlay measuring where the running figure on the Losee Center roof appears relative to the point where a screwdriver was reportedly recovered. His post opens: "TACTICAL ROOF RUN & THE FORGOTTEN DISAPPEARING SCREWDRIVER." The roof matters only under the government's account, in which Charlie Kirk was killed by a shot fired from it; the independent cause-of-death work locates the fatal mechanism at the podium instead.
Where the Runner Enters the Frame
Parker's stated measurement, in his words:
"My best 'guesstimate' is that the running figure on the Losee Center roof enters the frame about 1-3 steps past the point where Officer Bagley said he found the screwdriver (15-20 feet past the railing)."
The annotated still marks 10–11 running steps between the two reference points he drew across the roof surface. The aerial overlay places the alleged perch at the west end of the roof and traces the run east toward the point where the figure enters the visible frame — a path Parker draws as a curve rather than a straight line.

The Five-Step Sequence Parker Questions
Parker frames the official account as a sequence a reader has to accept in order. Quoting his post nearly in full, because the objection is in the ordering:
"It's a weird sequence they want us to believe:
- The gunman went over the railing & walked 15-20 more feet.
- Then the gunman stopped. Not right away. Not at 5 feet. Not at 10 feet. Not at 25 feet. Nope: 15-20 feet. That's where he assembled the gun & somehow forgot to stow the screwdriver.
- Gunman started sprinting towards vent
- And then after running most of the way, he dropped & executed a lengthy tactical lateral crawl several feet to the left to get into position.
- When he comes to a stop, he's set up behind the 5 inch roof lip, lying flat. How did he have a line of sight downward into the courtyard when he's back from the edge of the roof, completely behind that lip, flat on the ground of the roof?"
Point 5 is treated separately on Line of Sight Behind the Roof Lip, because it is a physical question that can be tested independently of anything else on this page.
What This Does and Does Not Establish
The measurement work here is an estimate drawn on top of released footage — Parker labels it a "guesstimate" himself, and the step counts depend on assumed stride length and on the scale of an aerial photograph. It does not identify the figure, and it does not show that the reported screwdriver recovery was wrong. What it does is put a specific, checkable distance claim on the record: if the screwdriver was found 15–20 feet past the railing, and the runner enters the visible frame 1–3 steps past that point, then the released footage begins after the moment that would corroborate or refute the screwdriver account.
Parker makes exactly that point: "isn't it convenient that the footage just barely cuts off the view that could corroborate the screwdriver story?" That is his characterization. The alternative and equally available reading is that camera placement and field of view were fixed years before September 10, 2025, and that the frame edge is a coincidence of installation. Neither reading has been tested against the unreleased continuous footage, which is the thing that would settle it — see Rooftop Video Reportedly Trimmed and Selective 4K release versus the gag claim.
Open Questions
- What is the actual measured distance from the railing crossing point to the west edge of the surveillance camera's field of view on the Losee Center roof?
- Has any party published the camera's installation specification — mount position, focal length, and field of view — that would show whether the frame edge is incidental or was ever adjusted?
- Is there continuous footage covering the interval between the railing crossing and the runner entering frame, and if so, who holds it?
- What stride length and roof scale were used to derive the "10–11 running steps," and does an independent measurement reproduce that figure?
