Integrity Security Solutions

Charlie Kirk's private security at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025 was reportedly provided by Rockhouse Integrity Group LLC, doing business as Integrity Security Solutions — founded by former police officer Brian Harpole.

The investigation file notes additional security-adjacent names in crowd speculation (Dan Flood, Frank Turek, Laine Schoneberger, Butch Hibbs). Those identifications are unverified photo matches, not firm rosters.

Not Shaffer Security Group that day

A critical vendor switch appears in the master file:

  • Prior Kirk events reportedly used Shaffer Security Group (SSG), associated with twenty-year FBI veteran Greg Schaffer and Harpole.
  • September 10 security was not SSG per file summary — Greg Shaffer stated SSG had not worked with TPUSA since 2022.
  • Some viewers say eyewitness footage nonetheless appears to show familiar "white-shirt" agents from earlier stops. Those visual matches are unverified, but they are why transparency questions are raised about who was actually on the detail.
  • The detail reportedly had no bodycams.

The FBI and Utah AG probe referenced in the file includes SSG subcontractors in obstruction questions (scene cleanup, chain of custody). That is investigative scope, not a finding against Integrity Security Solutions.

Hybrid security model

Protection combined:

  1. TPUSA-funded private close-protection detail (Integrity Security Solutions).
  2. Six UVU campus police officers (~25% of department) under Chief Jeff Long — crowd control and broader perimeter, detailed on UVU campus police.

Local Orem police were not described as on-site before the shot; they responded afterward. Commentators characterize the hybrid as lighter than Kirk's prior events.

Last-minute rehiring

A September 2025 Associated Press report and Greg Shaffer's interview suggest Integrity was rehired at the last minute for "specialized security." Shaffer said he was "stabbed in the back" in the dispute over how the firm came to guard Kirk. Researchers raise this as a process transparency question, not proven wrongdoing.

Speculative crowd identifications (unverified)

X posts attempting to name people near the detail from crowd photos include:

  • Laine Schoneberger — Yrefy sponsor rep (square sunglasses / dark blue shirt theories)
  • Dan Flood — Ray-Ban glasses, dark blue button-up (confirmed role as head of security in other sources)
  • Frank Turek — white shirt / hat; Kirk mentor, SUV occupant
  • "Blake Harruff" — possible light blue plaid misidentification
  • Burton "Butch" Hibbs — older bearded man in some posts

None of these crowd-sourced IDs is verified by the firm or law enforcement. They are listed to document speculation, not to assert roster fact.

Key questions

  • Why switch from SSG to Integrity for this stop?
  • Who signed the contract, and what was the written threat assessment?
  • Were rooftop inspections assigned to private detail, campus police, or both?
  • Why no bodycams on a high-profile protective detail?

Citizen Investigator Claims on X

The vendor-switch and rooftop-gap debate has been a durable thread among citizen investigators since late September 2025. The following are attributed public claims, not findings of this site:

  • According to @HeadlineUSA (September 28, 2025), a since-deleted post from Shaffer Security Group identified Integrity Security Solutions as the firm allegedly guarding Kirk when he was killed, and SSG founder Greg Shaffer told the outlet he was "stabbed in the back" over how Integrity came to the detail. That account is a media interview claim about a business dispute, not proof of criminal intent by anyone named.
  • @IngrahamAngle (November 20, 2025) amplified Harpole’s public position that police failed to cover rooftops as promised: "We were told it would be handled." Investigators treat that as a coordination dispute between private detail and campus/local LE — not as a court finding that any party deliberately left the roofs open.
  • Posts such as @BDPelton (July 2026) restate the basic staffing picture many researchers already track: only about six UVU officers, no rooftop control by campus or Integrity, and death-threat context that makes the gap more conspicuous. These posts add little new primary evidence but keep the question in public view.
  • Some accounts (e.g. @Ghostface_4000, July 2026) retell the SSG → Rockhouse Integrity transition (~2015–2022 SSG era, then Harpole/Flood spin-out) and add unverified claims about licensing. Treat licensing rumors as unconfirmed until a regulator or filing is produced.

Official Narrative vs Competing Claims

ThemeMore documented / mainstream framingCompeting X / citizen framing
Who guarded KirkHybrid private ISS + UVU campus PDSame facts, plus “who really controlled the bubble?”
RooftopsCoordination failure; Harpole says LE promised coverage“No one owned the roofs” — capability gap used as intent speculation

No court has found Integrity Security Solutions, Brian Harpole, Dan Flood, or TPUSA criminally responsible for the assassination. Criminal charging facts in the public record have focused on the defendant Tyler Robinson (charges are not a conviction).

Open Questions Raised by Investigators

  1. What written threat assessment (if any) accompanied the Integrity contract for UVU, and who signed it?
  2. Was the rooftop promise to Harpole verbal only, or is there radio / email / GRAMA-recoverable confirmation?
  3. Why were bodycams absent on a high-threat outdoor campus stop after known death threats?
  4. How do citizen IDs of crowd “security-adjacent” figures relate (if at all) to the actual paid roster?
  5. What discovery will the defense seek from private-security phones, recording glasses, and vendor contracts? (Public commentary has urged subpoenas; that is advocacy, not proof that such devices existed or were concealed.)
