Construction Site Gunman Contact

On-scene walkthrough of the construction site above the shooting. Video by @DiligentDenizen, shared by @DangerousConspr on X, August 5, 2026.

An on-scene video, recorded at the construction site on the bank above where Charlie Kirk was shot at UVU, documents two claims that go directly to the man dressed in all black — the suspect reported running from the shooting.

According to the reporter in the video, a young construction worker said his colleague — who was operating an excavator on the site — spoke, he believes, to the gunman. The man reportedly came up from the direction of the shooting, asked if it was okay to come through the construction site, said there had been a shooting, and said he wanted to get out of there. Per the worker's account, this happened before any sirens sounded and before the evacuation began.

What the Video Reports

  • The construction site sits on a bank leading down to where the shooting happened, and the reporter states the evidence trail led directly up into this property.
  • A worker on the site reportedly had direct contact with a fleeing man who mentioned the shooting before sirens or evacuation — timing that suggests first-hand knowledge of the event.
  • Police with a dog searched the property, then the property next door.
  • The reporter points out a ladder leading to the roof of the building where the shooter allegedly was, and a nearby wooded area where he assumes the rifle was found.

The Crime Scene Was Left Open

The second claim is about the crime scene itself. The reporter states that until roughly five minutes before recording, the area was not closed off at all: he was "wandering around in there," saw evidence markers on the ground, and watched FBI forensic officers carrying pieces of evidence in and out while media and the public milled about. When he asks agents on-camera whether they had found the gun, an officer replies they cannot answer questions and refers him to the public affairs officer.

An unsecured perimeter around the presumed shooter path and evidence trail is a significant chain-of-custody concern, and fits the broader pattern of security failures and cover-up indicators documented on this site.

Transcript

Full transcript of the video (398 words, transcribed from the source clip):

This construction site has a bank that I was at earlier that goes down to where the shooting happened. I just spoke to a young man who was working here yesterday. He said, his colleague, who was also working here, who was working the excavator right there, spoke, he thinks, to the gunman. He says that the young man came up here, spoke to him, asked him if it was okay to come through the construction site, and that he said, Sure, go ahead, and he said that there'd been a shooting, and he wanted to get out of there. Now, obviously, could have been some other passer-by, but according to the young man I spoke to, this all happened long before any of the sirens happened, and before they evacuated, and that sort of thing. So they think it was the gunman. It also lines up with the fact that the evidence trail leads directly up into this property. So it seems like they spoke or had contact with him. They said, after the police were in this property with a dog, they went into the property next door, which, as the young man I spoke to said, there are only a couple of wooded areas around here. Over here is where, apparently, the shooter was. You can see a ladder leading up to the top of that building. So somewhere on the top of that building, presumably, is where the shooter was. Over here is the wooded area where I'm assuming they found the rifle. Until about five minutes ago, this was not shut off at all — this crime scene team did not exist. I was wandering around in there. There are evidence markers on the ground. I've watched forensic officers from the FBI coming in and out of here with pieces of evidence, and I actually witnessed the trail that seemed to go up into this area. So they're only just closing it off. Media are milling about. Everybody's kind of wandering around. I guess they're gonna shut the road down now, but, um, yeah, it's basically all been open for us. What have you got there, guys? Can you tell us? Evidence? Is this where they found the gun? "We can't answer any questions, but if you have questions, please feel free to reach out to our public affairs officer."

Why It Matters

This account is independent of, and consistent with, construction worker Dylan Hope's description of a figure crossing the site at 785 College Dr before sirens sounded. It reinforces the documented mismatch between the dispatched description of a suspect in all black and the official Tyler Robinson narrative — see Proof Not Tyler. The reporter himself notes the man could have been another passer-by; the workers' stated timing is what makes them think it was the gunman.
