Suspects
Multiple eyewitnesses, police dispatch audio, and video evidence describe individuals at or near the UVU campus on September 10, 2025 who do not match the official suspect Tyler Robinson. These pages document each suspect description and the evidence supporting their presence.
The official narrative identifies Tyler Robinson as the lone shooter, but police dispatchers on September 10 broadcast a suspect description that does not match Robinson at all: a male wearing all black, a black tactical helmet, and a black mask. Construction worker Dylan Hope independently corroborated this description, reporting a man in a black trench coat and black cargo pants with long greasy hair who passed through the UVU construction site immediately after the shooting. Video evidence recorded an hour before the assassination shows a person in all black in a prone position on the roof — again, not matching Tyler Robinson's reported T-shirt and jeans.
The FBI's handling of these alternative suspect descriptions raises serious questions. Workers on the construction site report that the photo shown to them by local sheriffs did not match the image the FBI later released publicly. Police canine units tracked the black-clad suspect through the construction site to an adjacent property, yet this lead appears to have been abandoned once the FBI took over the investigation. The discrepancy between the dispatch audio, the eyewitness testimony, and the official suspect identification is one of the most significant unresolved issues in the case.
Each suspect page below documents a specific individual or description reported by witnesses, dispatch audio, or video evidence.
