Suspicious About Cause of Death
Why citizen investigators dispute the official account that a single .30-06 round from a Mauser 98 killed Charlie Kirk. This page is the suspicion framing; the underlying physics and forensics live in Cause of Death, Gun & Bullet, Microphone and Electrocution. Every item is an attributed claim; nothing here establishes who fired anything, and Tyler Robinson is charged, not convicted.
The numbered list
- The ATF fragment shows only class characteristics — the rifle could not be excluded, or identified
- No blood spray, no exit wound — would a .30-06 have destroyed his neck?
- The shirt and necklace move before the blood — optical-flow analysis, and what 30fps cannot resolve
- The Canon XA55 audio and a stage detonation — three arrivals, or three echoes
- The snapped necklace and the residue search — cavitation explains it without an explosive
- The mic placed under, not over, the shirt — the precondition every device theory needs
- Is the front neck wound an entrance or an exit? — proponents contradict each other
- The burnt object as a RODE transmitter — a melted jack, or pareidolia
- The acoustics point South, not to Losee — which conflicts with item 4
- Electrocution as trigger and redundancy — the weakest strand on the site
- The Rick Cutler hand-device claim — recorded to show how far this has drifted
The strongest item is the one nobody shouts about
Item 1 is rated CONFIRMED and it came from a document, not a thread. The ATF's September 17, 2025 lab report reportedly found the recovered jacket fragment is of ".30-caliber class" and shares class characteristics with the Mauser 98 — the rifle could not be excluded, but the fragment lacks individual characteristics permitting identification to one rifle to the exclusion of all others, and firearms producing similar rifling include "numerous makes and models."
Understand exactly what that does and does not mean, because both camps overclaim it. It does not mean the fragment was planted — that accusation appears nowhere in the report. "Inconclusive" is the single most common outcome in firearms examination of a deformed jacket fragment, and class-characteristic agreement is mildly inculpatory, not exculpatory. What it does mean is that the physical link between the recovered rifle and the object taken from Kirk's body is not individually established. That is a real gap, on the record, and it is worth more than every frame-by-frame video reading on this page combined.
Why the alternative theories keep killing each other
Read items 2 through 10 together and a pattern emerges: the alternatives are not one theory, they are several, and they are mutually exclusive. Item 5 is the cleanest illustration. Dr. Chris Martenson is cited for a cavitation event — which requires a projectile. An anonymous former explosive breacher argues a PETN charge in the pendant — which requires no projectile. Both are offered as explanations of the same snapped chain. At most one is right.
The same self-refutation runs through item 9 versus item 4 (South balcony vs a rifle at ~120m, i.e. the Losee roof), and item 7 (behind-and-above exit vs inside-the-tent front entrance). Item 2's "a .30-06 would have knocked him flying" is a physics error that disproves itself: a bullet cannot impart more momentum to a body than its recoil imparts to the shooter's shoulder, so no rifle round knocks anyone off their feet — that argument would "disprove" every rifle homicide ever recorded. And the analyst who supplies the explosive theory's best frames is contradicted by the theory's own cited explosives expert, who says a lapel-mic charge would push the wrong direction entirely.
Item 3 is the most interesting of the alternatives and deserves its due: fabric and jewelry moving several frames before blood appears is a real observation. It is also exactly what hydrostatic cavitation predicts — a temporary wound cavity expands and collapses in milliseconds, throwing a loose shirt and snapping a chain, while blood needs time to exit the wound and become visible. At 30–60fps, apparent sequence is an artifact of the frame rate. Item 10 is the bottom: an electrocution mechanism with no burn, no arc mark, no current path, and no autopsy — and item 11 is recorded only as a specimen of what is circulating, because it makes serious accusations against a named private citizen with nothing behind them.
