The DOGE Audit and Bowyer's Removal Timing (Claims)

:::caution Attributed claims only Appointing a chief operating officer, restructuring a leadership team, and filing a tax return under an automatic extension are all lawful and ordinary. Tyler Bowyer is a living private citizen accused of no crime. The claim below is contradicted by the investigation file's own text, and this page says so. :::

What is alleged

The investigation file repeatedly claims that Charlie Kirk demanded an outside "DOGE"-style audit of Turning Point USA, and that Tyler Bowyer was fired or "moved aside" over refusing it roughly eight days before the assassination. The file's "Strange events" list states it flatly at item 35: "Bowyer would have been fired/moved-aside. 8 days before CK assassinated. Because of DOGE audit."

George Webb frames the claim alongside a separate allegation about "missing 990s for TPUSA Endowment, Action, and Americas." His formulation is: "Killing Charlie eight days after he moved Bowyer out for not doing the DOGE outside audit is a big deal."

The only documentary anchor the file offers for the "eight days" arithmetic is a Kirk memo the file dates September 2, 2025, naming Justin Streiff as the new chief operating officer — eight days before September 10. That memo is the entire load-bearing structure of the timing claim.

The file never produces the memo. It never sources "Bowyer was fired" to any document, board record, or named witness beyond Webb. And it elsewhere still describes Bowyer as chief operating officer of Turning Point Action after Kirk's death — logging a Bowyer quote from September 18, 2025, eight days after the assassination, and identifying him by that title. The file does not resolve this contradiction. It is stated here plainly because it is the most important fact on this page.

The ordinary explanation

A chief operating officer change on September 2 is an ordinary personnel move at a fast-growing nonprofit, fully consistent with a promotion, a restructuring, a delegation of duties, or a voluntary shift in role. Nothing about naming a new COO implies that anyone was fired, and the file offers no evidence that Bowyer's title changed at all.

More damaging to the claim: Bowyer remained publicly associated with Turning Point Action afterward — which is the opposite of what "he was fired" predicts. Meanwhile, nonprofit Form 990s are routinely filed late under automatic extensions and are not "missing" in any legal sense until a filing deadline has actually passed. George Webb is a self-published investigator with a long public record of claims that did not hold up, and no document, board minute, or named TPUSA source corroborates that an outside audit was ordered, refused, or even proposed.

What would settle it

  1. Produce the September 2, 2025 memo naming Justin Streiff as COO, and read what it actually says about Bowyer.
  2. Obtain TPUSA and Turning Point Action board minutes for August and September 2025 and check for any audit motion.
  3. Confirm Bowyer's title and employment status on September 1, September 9, and September 18, 2025 from organizational records.
  4. Pull the actual 990 filing status and extension records for TPUSA Endowment, Turning Point Action, and Turning Point Americas from the IRS.
