What is alleged
Candace Owens alleges that Justin Streiff — named chief operating officer in a memo the investigation file dates September 2, 2025, eight days before the assassination — had a phone call "right after Charlie Kirk was shot" with a person she believes to be a French-American named Pierre Du Pont. She says a "potential billion dollar partnership was on the line with TPUSA."
This dovetails with a separate claim by Stew Peters, who states that "this gentleman called Pierre who is in Israel" offered Kirk a billion dollars that Kirk rejected, and that the money was "accepted" by Turning Point USA after his death. The investigation file's own defamation note on the Peters segment stresses that these claims are unverified, that no court has adjudicated any of them, that the "Pierre" identification should be attributed to Owens rather than asserted independently, and that Peters frames significant portions of his commentary as his own opinion. Peters himself says of the figure: "I've reported loosely that there was a billion dollar offer."
There is no call record, no phone number, no confirmed identity for "Pierre," and no URL for either allegation in the file. Owens hedges her own identification with the words "who she believes is" — she does not claim to have confirmed it.
The ordinary explanation
A newly installed COO making and receiving phone calls in the minutes after his founder is shot on camera is his job. That is crisis management: notifying the board, reaching family, contacting counsel, standing up a response. Framing it as sinister requires assuming the conclusion first and reading a call log — which nobody has — second.
The identification is by its author's own wording a belief, not a confirmation, and no record supports that any such call occurred at all. On the money: the $1 billion figure has never been documented in any form — not as cash, a pledge, a grant agreement, or a contract. No donor entity has been named. TPUSA has not been shown to have received it, and Peters concedes he "reported loosely" on the number. Finally, Kirk's September 2 COO appointment was a management decision Kirk made himself, which is evidence of ordinary succession planning by a man who knew he was under threat — not evidence of a plot against him.
What would settle it
- Produce a phone record establishing that the call occurred, and when.
- Establish whether a person named Pierre Du Pont exists in this context and confirm the identification, which Owens explicitly has not.
- Produce any document — pledge, grant letter, wire, contract — reflecting a $1 billion offer to Charlie Kirk or a receipt by TPUSA.
- Produce the September 2, 2025 memo naming Streiff as COO, which the file references but never reproduces.
