A short clip circulating on X in July 2026 raises an open question about the morning of September 10, 2025: whether the person police identify as the assassin made contact with a Turning Point USA representative on the Utah Valley University quad several hours before Charlie Kirk was shot at 12:23 PM.
The claim is not that TPUSA or any TPUSA staffer participated in the shooting. It is a request for identification and for the campus footage that would settle it. No employee has been named publicly in connection with this claim, and no agency has confirmed that any such meeting is being investigated as significant. Tyler Robinson is charged, not convicted.

The police is saying that the assassin arrives on campus at 9:24 a.m. and goes and meets with someone who works for Turning Point USA. They most likely have security footage of this meeting. Who was this Turning Point USA employee who was talking with the assassin a few hours before Charlie Kirk was murdered?"
The speaker is describing what they say police stated — the narration attributes the arrival time and the contact to law-enforcement accounts rather than to independent verification. The clip does not cite a specific briefing, filing, or press conference, and this site has not located a primary law-enforcement document containing the 9:24 a.m. arrival time or the quad-meeting description.
Where This Sits in the Morning Timeline
The morning window between roughly 9:00 a.m. and the 12:23 PM shot is one of the least documented stretches of the day. The site's existing day-of chronology draws on doorbell and campus cameras:
- 8:07 AM — Ring camera, walking on S 800 W toward campus.
- 8:23 AM — WYZE camera, driving on W 880 S.
- 8:29 AM — UVU surveillance reportedly shows a gray Dodge Challenger entering campus.
- ~9:24 AM (this claim) — Narrator states police place the arrival on campus at this time, followed by contact with TPUSA representatives on the quad.
- ~10:00 AM (window) — The reported quad contact falls inside the unaccounted morning window; no camera timestamp on this site currently covers it.
- 9:57 AM — WYZE camera, walking again on W 880 S, reportedly in changed clothing.
- 11:44–11:49 AM — Ring cameras, walking back toward campus.
- 12:23 PM — The shot.
Note the discrepancy: the arrival time in this clip (9:24 a.m.) does not match the 8:29 a.m. campus arrival that appears in the surveillance-based timelines compiled from law-enforcement references. Either the clip is describing a second arrival on campus after the 8:23–8:29 AM movements, or one of the two times is wrong. Why Citizen Investigators Care
- It would be on camera. The quad is a heavily covered area. If a contact occurred, UVU surveillance and TPUSA production cameras would likely hold it. The clip's own framing — "they most likely have security footage of this meeting" — is a footage-release demand more than an accusation.
- It touches the pre-event window. Most published attention sits on 11:49 AM onward. A 9–10 a.m. contact would place the accused inside the event's organizational orbit hours earlier than the standard narrative describes.
- A TPUSA staffer would be an innocent-explanation candidate first. Event staff spent the morning interacting with students on the quad — tabling, ticketing, and setup. Any brief exchange has an ordinary explanation available before any other reading, and nothing in the public record contradicts that ordinary reading.
Counterpoints and Cautions
- No named person, no confirmation. No TPUSA employee has been publicly identified with this claim, and TPUSA has not been reported as responding to it. Naming anyone on this basis would be unsupported.
- The source is secondhand narration. The speaker characterizes police statements without quoting a document. Until a briefing transcript or filing is produced, the 9:24 a.m. figure should be treated as an unverified claim.
- Routine contact is the baseline assumption. Interacting with attendees was the job of TPUSA staff that morning. A conversation on the quad is not evidence of foreknowledge by anyone.

- Does UVU or TPUSA hold quad footage from the 9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m. window, and has it been preserved?
- Does the reported quad contact conflict with, or follow, the 8:29 a.m. campus arrival already in the record?
- Has any investigator interviewed TPUSA staff who worked the quad that morning?
- Was any such footage or interview produced in discovery in State v. Robinson?
