Paving Timeline — September 14

The UVU tent courtyard was reportedly stripped of grass and paved within days of Charlie Kirk's death on September 10, 2025. This page assembles date claims from the research record and Merrell's on-camera account. Timeline disputes ("next day" vs "four days") should be resolved against work orders and security video when released.

Anchor dates

DateEvent (reported)
Sept 10, 2025Charlie Kirk shot at UVU courtyard tent/stage (Timeline)
~Sept 12, 2025Work order issued ~two days post-shooting (Hardscape Specialties notes)
Sept 14, 2025 (Sunday)Dan Merrell says he installed pavers; paving reportedly started ~four days after killing
By MondayOn-site coordinator told Merrell governor and FBI wanted completion by Monday (per Merrell)

Sunday hardscape on a university courtyard is widely described in citizen research as unusual for Utah County — most campus/state maintenance runs weekdays or Saturday at latest.

Competing "speed" narratives

Two framings appear in CK_FILE and X threads:

  1. "Four days later" — aligns with Merrell's 9/14/25 paver date and CK landscaping notes.
  2. "The next day" — CK line: "They covered up the evidence THE NEXT DAY, demolishing and repaving the crime scene."

These may reflect multiple work phases (early excavation vs Sunday pavers) rather than a single error. State Workers commentary describes a first government team removing soil before Merrell arrived. Disclosure of dated photos, invoices, and delivery logs should reconcile the sequence.

UVU "pre-scheduled" claim vs emergency framing

Research notes state UVU characterized work as pre-scheduled in some postures, while citizen compilations argue evidence contradicts routine scheduling given the homicide timing. UVU's president reportedly cited pending external review when declining specifics (AP reporting in CK notes). KUTV/KATV noted courtyard changes without always naming contractors.

Strange-events list

CK strange event #15 asks plainly: "Why paved over Tent area?" That question assumes the pave-over is anomalous relative to normal post-event preservation — not that any official admitted wrongdoing.

Forensic window

Whatever the exact hour-by-hour log, the critical investigative issue is whether ballistics, blood-pattern, and explosive-residue collection finished before topsoil removal and paver base installation. Site Alteration Evidence lists trace categories at risk. FBI Crime Scene Paving frames federal authorization questions.

Laws (Charlie Kirk)

Dated work orders, emergency authorizations, and pre-paving forensic clearance records are among targets of the Charlie Kirk Investigation Laws.
