Platform Water Bottles Under Charlie's Feet

A photo composite circulating on X in July 2026 focuses on a detail of the tent platform at Utah Valley University that most published coverage of September 10, 2025 has passed over: what appears to be a cluster of crushed plastic water bottles wedged under the feet of the seated figure in the white shirt and white sneakers, on the small metal riser beneath the chair.

Nothing on this page establishes that the bottles are evidence of anything. They may be ordinary event litter, a discarded case of water pushed under a riser, or an improvised shim. The reason citizen investigators flag the frame at all is that the platform surface directly under Charlie Kirk is the same zone that was later excavated and paved over (see Paving Timeline — September 14 and Site Alteration Evidence), so any object recorded on that surface before the shooting is one of the few surviving records of the original scene.

What @SelinaAnneXX posted

The post is a reply in a longer thread. Reproduced near-verbatim:

@VLuvMully I am VERY curious as to your opinion on the water bottles, & what Flood is standing on…

PS: WHO…took the photo on the right…who was standing in the perfect spot to take it?…

Three separate questions are being asked, and they are worth keeping separate:

  1. The water bottles — why is there a cluster of crushed bottles directly under the feet on the riser, and were they photographed or logged before the courtyard was altered?
  2. What Dan Flood is standing on — in the second image, the man in the dark polo standing to the right of the tent, identified in the thread as Dan Flood, TPUSA's security director, is standing on his own separate metal riser set on top of what looks like a hard-shell equipment case. Reportedly he had a raised vantage of his own, distinct from the speaker platform. See also Dan Flood — Head of Security.
  3. Who took the close-up — the tight crop of the shoes and bottles implies a photographer at close range and at a low angle inside or immediately beside the tent. Establishing who was in that position, and when, is a routine and answerable question that has not been publicly answered.

The second image — "What are his feet resting on?"

The second attachment is a phone screenshot of an AI chat session in which the poster uploads the wider tent photo and types "What are his feet resting on?" The screenshot does not show the answer, so it carries no analytic weight on its own — it is included here because it is the provenance of the crop in the first image and shows the full uncropped frame.

That wider frame is useful independent of the question being asked. It shows the canopy printed with "THE AMERICAN COMEBACK" and "PROVE ME WRONG", the camera and boom-mic rig at left, the seated speaker on a chair set on a low platform, the blue-skirted table, the crowd behind a barricade, and a second man on a separate riser at right. That geometry matters for the inside-tent shooter theories and for the Canon XA55 audio analysis, both of which depend on exact heights and sightlines under the canopy.

Thread context — the parent post

The post above is a reply to a much longer thread by @VLuvMully, who advances a speculative theory that a custom shaped-charge device concealed in a RØDE wireless receiver was strapped to Kirk's chest and deflagrated, producing what that poster reads as a square pressure mark, localized flash burning, and a pin-point center wound. Their attached composite shows a RØDE receiver, a laboratory shaped-charge demonstration, a high-speed frame of a shaped-charge jet, and a skin close-up offered as the comparison.

This site does not endorse that theory. It is an unproven claim by a private individual on social media, it names no perpetrator that any court has adjudicated, and the physical readings offered have not been validated by any published forensic examination. It appears here only because it is the thread the water-bottle reply is attached to, and because the same device-on-the-body family of claims is covered separately under Mic and Cause of Death. Readers should weigh it against the official ballistic account and against the fact that no independent expert has publicly confirmed a device was present.

Why the platform surface matters

The recurring theme of the Tent section is that the ground and platform under the canopy were altered within days of the killing. Anything resting on that surface on September 10 — bottles, cabling, tape, equipment cases, the risers themselves — existed only in photographs after the courtyard was excavated and paved.

That makes even mundane frames like these worth cataloguing. The answerable questions are evidentiary, not theoretical:

  • Were the platform and riser surfaces photographed and inventoried before removal?
  • Does any evidence log list the water bottles, the risers, or the equipment cases?
  • Who held the low-angle vantage the close-up crop was shot from, and is that photographer's full card in evidence?
  • What was the height of each riser, and were they preserved or discarded?

Those are precisely the categories the proposed disclosure laws are designed to force into the public record.

Laws (Charlie Kirk)

Scene-inventory logs for the tent platform, the identity and full camera cards of everyone photographing inside the canopy, and the chain of custody for physical objects on the risers are things the Charlie Kirk Investigation Laws may result in powerful truths coming out that aren't out yet.
