This is the chronology of Charlie Kirk himself — not of the investigation into his death. It runs from his 1993 birth through the founding of Turning Point USA, the Groyper confrontations of 2019–2020, the donor rupture of summer 2025, and then slows to hours for the final 72 hours of September 8–10, 2025. Read it when you want to know what he was doing and saying, in order; the day-of forensic sequence lives on September 10, 2025 and the minute-by-minute reconstruction.

Timeline Overview

The Timeline

Early life and the founding years

• October 14, 1993 — Charles James Kirk is born in Illinois, per widely published biography, and grows up in the northwest Chicago suburbs. Basic biographical facts about a deceased person can be stated plainly, unlike the contested claims elsewhere on this site.

• 2012 — At eighteen, straight out of high school, Kirk co-founds Turning Point USA with the older conservative organizer Bill Montgomery. The founding story sits on TPUSA founder Charlie and the corporate entity map on Turning Point USA (nonprofit).

• 2012–2016 — TPUSA scales from a startup into a national campus network on donor money, and Kirk becomes the movement's most recognizable young face. That base is what later makes both his platform and his donor dependence central to motive analysis.

• 2016 — Kirk aligns TPUSA's energy behind the Donald Trump campaign, beginning the direct White House access that continues through 2025 and that gives weight to his June 2025 intervention on Iran.

The Groyper wars, 2019–2020

• September 30, 2019 — TPUSA severs ties with a brand ambassador after she appears alongside Nick Fuentes and others. The fallout helps trigger Fuentes's campaign to send "groypers" to TPUSA's fall campus tour — the internal-right fracture summarized at TPUSA opposite Charlie.

• October 29, 2019 — Ohio State University — Groypers dominate the Q&A, reportedly asking 11 of 14 questions, with hostile prompts aimed at Kirk and his co-host. This is the first notable incident of the campaign.

• November 8, 2019 — Arizona State University — At a TPUSA "Prove Me Wrong" event featuring a sitting member of Congress, protesters aligned with the groyper campaign confront the forum.

• November 10, 2019 — UCLA — Donald Trump Jr., Kirk and Kimberly Guilfoyle appear for a book promotion. The Q&A is cancelled in anticipation of groyper questions, heckling follows, and the event ends early after roughly 20–30 minutes. It is the most-cited moment of the whole campaign.

• November 25, 2019 — University of Houston — A "Prove Me Wrong" stop devolves as a hostile crowd chants "America First."

• December 2019 — West Palm Beach — Fuentes hosts a Groyper Leadership Summit opposite TPUSA's Student Action Summit; groyper figures are removed after attempting to enter the TPUSA venue.

• Late 2019 – early 2020 — The in-person disruptions wind down as TPUSA bans known groypers and tightens event security. There is no formal end date. The episode belongs in this timeline for one reason: it established, five years early, that the intra-right fight over Israel was the fault line running through Kirk's own audience — context for the MAGA antisemitism debate and woke-right defamation.

2023–2024

• 2023 — A life insurance policy is reportedly taken out, held through GGLF 2023 LLC, with a TPUSA loan of roughly $350,000 attached and payout estimates circulating in commentary. Researchers flag the timing relative to Kirk's late-2023 questions about Israel; the policy's existence and its interpretation are two separate things. See GGLF life insurance.

• August 2024 (claim) — Researchers report Google Trends activity for "Utah Valley University buildings" and related campus terms. These are aggregate trend graphics, not identified searchers. Handled in full on the 2024 pre-event timeline and at UVU campus location searches.

• December 8–14, 2024 (claim) — A reported one-week Google Trends spike for Kathryn Nester — later defense counsel for the man charged — attributed by commentators to Israeli IP addresses. Treated as an unresolved data curiosity at Nester Google Trends and the December 2024 spike.

2025 — the year the alignment breaks

• April 3, 2025 — Kirk posts a long warning against a new Middle East war, arguing that war with Iran would be "a catastrophic mistake" and that America has "a golden opportunity to pull away from Middle East quagmires for good." This is the earliest 2025 marker researchers use for his foreign-policy divergence; the full record of what he said is at Kirk's Iran warnings.

• June 13, 2025 — The Iran–Israel twelve-day war commences, sharpening every position Kirk had taken in April.

• June 18, 2025 — Kirk goes to the White House specifically to advise against regime change in Iran — documented lobbying against the policy his largest donors favoured. See Charlie's stand against the Iran war.

• July 7–9, 2025 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the United States. Researchers place the visit immediately before the July TPUSA events, though no meeting with Kirk is established; see Israel PM.

• July 11–13, 2025 — TPUSA Student Action Summit, Tampa — Kirk appears with Megyn Kelly. Per the master file he was rattled by having allowed Israel-critical speakers on his stage, and pro-Israel figures were rattled that he had.

• July 13, 2025 — Dave Smith debates Josh Hammer at the Florida event — the Israel argument staged inside Kirk's own conference.

• July 14, 2025 — Tucker Carlson speaks, telling the TPUSA audience to "go all the way." Platforming Carlson is the act researchers most often name as the one donors would not forgive; Carlson's own shifting position is traced at Tucker Carlson on evolving Israel views.

• July 16, 2025 — The Ami's House podcast episode "Inside the Turning Point USA Fallout" airs, putting the donor friction on the public record for the first time.

• July 18, 2025 (claim) — Commentators assert a decision to target Kirk in Utah was made around this date. No public official document or court finding confirms any such decision, and this site does not endorse it; the claim and its evidentiary basis are examined on July 18 decision claims.

• July 20, 2025 — Aircraft SU-BTT makes its first-ever U.S. trip, to an army base in Nebraska, on the same day researchers place a military meeting with foreign leaders on U.S. soil. See military meeting July 20 and Nebraska army base July 20.

• July 31, 2025 — An off-the-record White House meeting on "confronting woke-right defamation of Israel" is reported, organized by the Faith and Freedom Coalition, the Latino Coalition for Israel and the Philos Project. Reported attendees include Ralph Reed, Luke Moon, Mario Bramnick, Yehuda Kaploun and Yair Netanyahu. TPUSA is not present — the absence itself is the finding, covered at July 31 meeting without TPUSA.

• ~August 4, 2025 — the Hamptons intervention — Pro-Israel figures reportedly confront Kirk about his platforming and rhetoric. Names circulating in commentary include Rabbi Pesach Wolicki, Josh Hammer, Seth Dillon, Bill Ackman and Natasha Hausdorff. Attendance lists are reported claims, not court findings, and no attendee is alleged here to have known of or planned anything. See Hamptons intervention and Israel Hamptons. Secondary narratives about the purpose of this meeting (funding/TPUSA deal vs other alleged purposes) have shifted over time in commentator accounts — treat purpose as unresolved claimed variants, not established fact.

• ~August 4–6, 2025 (claim) — Netanyahu reportedly calls Kirk and offers funding tied to an Israel trip, which Kirk declines. Reported figures range from $150 million in some accounts to a billion-dollar framing sourced through Candace Owens commentary; the discrepancy is itself unresolved. Owens has separately described a final Netanyahu call about Iran — a different claim, unconfirmed by any named participant, and not to be merged with this one.

• August 6, 2025 — In a Megyn Kelly appearance Kirk publicly "lashes out about donors pressuring him" — the first time the private friction becomes visible to his own audience.

• August 2025 (reported) — A donor reportedly asks Erika Kirk, in her own later recollection, "What would happen to TPUSA if you died?" — dated by that recollection to roughly 40 days before the assassination. It is a recollection, not a record.

• September 1–5, 2025 — In private group chats Kirk reportedly writes that he has "no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause." The leaked text set is catalogued at leaked Kirk texts and donor texts in the final 48 hours.

• September 4, 2025 — SU-BTT flies from France into Provo, Utah, and remains through the event window — the aircraft thread carried on SU-BTT plane movements.

• September 4–10, 2025 — Counter-UAS equipment is reportedly tested at Provo Airport across this window; see counter-UAS at Provo and Provo Airport Counter-UAS. A separate claim that the airport's badge access list was modified on 9/11/25 is at Provo badge list modified.

The final 72 hours — September 8 to 10, 2025

• September 8 (Monday) — Kirk posts publicly about leaving the pro-Israel movement. This is the moment the private rupture becomes an on-the-record public position, and every donor-pressure motive theory hinges on it. See Charlie–Israel friction and his recorded Israel quotes.

• September 8–9 (attributed private texts) — Circulating packages (e.g. @AdameMedia summary of Owens-shared material) place a compressed sequence: (1) a group-chat message about losing a big donor and "leaving the pro-Israel cause" involving chats with figures including Josh Hammer and Rabbi Pesach Wolicki; (2) an emergency Zoom the next day with Kirk, the rabbi, and Hammer; (3) a text immediately afterward to Andrew Kolvet: "they are going to kill me." (KM-07) These are attributed private messages; wording, recipients, and timing remain disputed, and at least one associate has denied key variants. TPUSA spokesman Kolvet has been widely reported as confirming authenticity of the leaked WhatsApp/group frustration texts. Separate commentators stress those texts were private vents, not a public renunciation of Kirk's prior Israel positions.

• September 9 (date correction, reported) — Per commentary on Josh Hammer's later statements (@itsmorganariel and others), the "no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause" message may date to September 9 rather than September 8 — less than 24 hours before the UVU shooting. Cross-check against any authenticated export before treating either day as settled.

• September 8 — Roughly a dozen lieutenant colonels are reported at Fort Huachuca, Arizona with flight SAM702, departing at 00:49 on September 9. Tracked at Fort Huachuca military timeline, the Sept 9 meeting and SAM 702. Contested witness claims about other named living people at the base the same window belong on that page and the Erika Kirk timeline, not as facts about Charlie's presence.

• September 9 (Tuesday) — Kirk appears on Ben Shapiro's show and criticizes Israel to Shapiro's face. Donor-pressure researchers treat this as the point of no return; it is the last major public act of the divergence.

• September 9 — A high-pressure meeting takes place. During it Kirk reportedly texts others: "THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ME." (KM-07) The text, its recipients and its provenance are examined on the "they are going to kill me" text and the high-pressure meeting page.

• September 9 — Candace Owens later says three separate sources told her Kirk was worried "they" would kill him. Additional reported texts use stronger language including "executed tomorrow", (KM-10) reportedly sent to donors, TPUSA figures and head of security Dan Flood, with Andrew Kolvet among reported recipients. These are attributed accounts, gathered at reported quotes and warnings.

• September 9 — Researchers report a Google Trends spike in Utah for the tail number N888KG — a search pattern that precedes the aircraft's own activity the following evening.

• September 10, ~7:08 AM MT — SU-BTT departs Utah for Wilmington, hours before the event.

• September 10, morning — Kirk travels to Utah Valley University for an outdoor campus event. The morning's security arrangements — including the absence of a staged ambulance — are examined at day-of security.

• September 10, 12:23 PM MDT — The shot. Kirk is struck while speaking under a canopy in the UVU courtyard west of the Losee Center. Some compilations place it at 12:27; the dispute is on 12:23 vs 12:27. • September 10, 12:23–12:31 PM — Security begins moving him within seconds and he is loaded into an SUV rather than an ambulance. The ten minutes after the shot page covers this window and scoop and run the transport decision. Citizen claims about who received real-time condition updates from the transport chain (including alleged Shapiro-before-Erika notification order) are tracked on 12:23 shooting time and Erika Kirk timeline — attribution only.

• September 10, afternoon — He is taken to Timpanogos Regional Hospital and pronounced deceased. Researchers ask why a nearer Level II facility was not used — was a trauma center bypassed?. The medical sequence and its disputes are on the medical and death timeline.

• September 10, evening — Private jet N888KG departs Provo, disables ADS-B in flight, and later returns — one of the aircraft anomalies carried on other planes activity.

• September 11, 2025 — SU-BTT leaves the United States for Egypt via Wilmington. Everything past this point belongs to the investigation rather than to Kirk's own chronology: see Sept 8–13, the Discord messages attributed to the accused, and the custody vs Discord conflict. Tyler Robinson is charged, not convicted.

Post-death legacy (epilogue — not lifetime chronology)

• February 23, 2026 (reported) — TPUSA production of a documentary titled "I Am Charlie Kirk" was reported to begin filming around this date (~$500k budget cited in citizen posts), with producers named in those posts as including Terryl Farnsworth — separately the subject of the rock-pile filming claim — Mikey McCoy, whose reported 12:23 call to his wife is its own disputed thread, and Andrew Kolvet. All three are living people accused of nothing; these are citizen posts, not filings. Succession/legacy activity after Kirk's death — funeral and memorial timeline and TPUSA organizational timeline.
