This timeline runs from the moment of notification on September 10, 2025 through the memorial service, the succession announcement, the posthumous honors, and the institutional resignations that followed. Everything below is downstream of a single fact: Charlie Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University that midday, and the mechanism of his death was still openly contested while the memorial was being planned.

September 10, 2025: notification

• ~12:23 PM MDT — Erika Kirk has publicly said that Mikey McCoy called her at the moment of the shooting; the separate reported call to his wife in the same second is at McCoy phones his wife, and the account and its timing are catalogued on memorial and TPUSA succession and the Erika Kirk timeline.

• ~11:23 AM Arizona time (12:23 PM MDT) — Per a witness account attributed to Blake Neff, Mikey McCoy walked away with a phone to his ear and called Rob McCoy in Arizona. The viral post-shot footage of a man walking away on a phone is the visual attached to this claim; it is a reconstruction from public accounts, not a phone record. Compare McCoy alone in frame.

• Afternoon, September 10 — Kirk is transported to Timpanogos Regional Hospital — a choice disputed at was a nearer trauma center bypassed? — where the medical, autopsy, and death-certificate questions begin; those belong to the medical and death timeline, the autopsy report page, and the death certificate page.

• Evening, September 10 — Aircraft departures from Provo the same evening, including the private jet N888KG, are tracked on the September 10 page and the other-planes activity timeline. Family travel after a death is unremarkable; the flight records are logged because they are checkable.

• September 11, 2025 — Kirk's next scheduled event had, per public accounts, no security plan in place, against a normal practice reported as roughly twelve days of preparation per event. See next event, no plan and day-of security.

September 11–13, 2025: the casket flight, the speech, and memorial announcement

• September 11, 2025 — Air Force Two transports the casket from Salt Lake City to Phoenix, with Vice President JD Vance accompanying Erika Kirk — see the casket flight page and Vance mission continuation.

• September 11, 2025 — the tarmac account (disputed) — Kolvet publicly described Erika running into his arms on the tarmac. Owens has questioned the sequencing against FlightRadar data she says shows Erika's aircraft arriving more than an hour earlier. • September 12, 2025 — approximately 9:09 PM ET (~55 hours after the shot) — Erika Kirk delivers the speech in which she refers to "evil do-ERs" — plural. The plural pronoun is the whole of the observation, and it is an observation about wording, nothing more. • September 11–13, 2025 — In parallel, the surrender and custody sequence unfolds in Washington County; that track is on Sept 8–13 and the Sept 11 surrender and custody page.

• September 13, 2025 — Turning Point USA publicly announced plans for a stadium memorial service, according to contemporary reporting later summarized in mainstream timelines (including Wikipedia's memorial-service entry). A memorial planning site (fightforcharlie.com and successors) circulated in the same window per LiveNowFox-style coverage.

The memorial service

• Mid-September 2025 — production — Mosaic Pro Events, TPUSA's long-standing production partner, handled the stadium build — hundreds of crew, trucks, and lighting rigs — the same vendor that produced AmericaFest and the campus tour, including the September 10 event's production footage. Program elements included stadium-scale lighting, sound, and pyrotechnics that later became a recurring subject of online commentary about tone (production aesthetics = opinion, not evidence).

• September 17, 2025 (satellite memorials) — Smaller campus and community memorials (e.g. CSU and other local events noted on X) ran in parallel with State Farm planning — the ceremonial arc was not stadium-only.

• September 20, 2025 (reported security incident) — An armed man posing as law enforcement was arrested at the Arizona stadium complex where the memorial was to be held the next day, per New York Post reporting. Logged as a security incident, not as a finding about the assassination itself.

• September 21, 2025 — 11:00 a.m. MST — The memorial service is held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with reporting of Desert Diamond Arena overflow and a crowd on the order of 100,000+. • September 21, 2025 — speeches (public record) — Per national coverage (e.g. ABC key takeaways): President Trump framed Kirk as a martyr/warrior figure; Vice President Vance called him a hero to the United States; Erika Kirk said he died with "incomplete work but not with unfinished business" and publicly forgave the accused. Later opinion pieces and influencers disputed whether the eulogy and production read more like fundraising or worship spectacle than private grief — opinions about tone, not legal findings.

• September 21, 2025 — notable attendees — In addition to the President and Vice President, coverage and clip discourse place figures including Elon Musk in the stadium (including widely shared VIP-section footage later disputed as "empty seats for security"). • The VIP-eyewitness question — A man who gave prominent eyewitness interviews from the September 10 scene was reportedly seated on the main floor at the memorial with a media badge, after publicly doubting he could get in at all.
