Tyler Robinson Investigation Index

This is the working memo for the official suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination. The project's core claim is not that Tyler Robinson is innocent as a matter of law — he has pleaded not guilty and no trial verdict exists — but that the physical, timeline, and forensic record citizen investigators have assembled does not support the rooftop .30-06 lone-shooter narrative the government has promoted. Nothing here claims that any living person committed a crime or knew in advance that Charlie Kirk would be killed.

Why this section leads with mismatch, not biography

Three investigative layers recur across Charlie_Kirk.txt source material and X research:

  1. Identity layer — Campus camera subjects, the Stairs Guy, and the all-black rooftop figure do not consistently match Tyler's described clothing, backpack fill level, or weapon-carry feasibility. See Black Clothing Suspect.
  2. Timeline layer — The 25-second egress window, Dairy Queen sighting, and September 11 surrender collide with the reported 6:25 PM Miranda time and the 7:57 PM Discord messages.
  3. Forensics layer — The ATF called the bullet fragment inconclusive relative to the attributed Mauser rifle; the shaped-charge and mic theories offer an alternative cause of death that would exonerate Robinson on ballistics grounds if confirmed.

Background, associates, and alternative theories

The "two versions of the text messages" theory (claim)

One of the more detailed reconstructions preserved in Charlie_Kirk.txt argues the released text messages exist in two conflicting versions, attributed to online investigators (Baron Coleman and others):

  • Version 1.0 — texts reportedly divulged to the FBI by Lance Twiggs at ~1 a.m. September 12 (the night Robinson turned himself in), in which Tyler allegedly says he will call police to "go out on my own terms" — framed as the paper trail for a planned shootout.
  • Version 2.0 — texts in the September 16 indictment in which Tyler allegedly says "I'm gonna turn myself in willingly."

The theory holds that the shift between the two reflects a plan that was disrupted when Robinson surrendered rather than dying in a shootout. This is a reported interpretation, not an established fact, and is included as one of the alternative-narrative threads the section tracks.

The "already in custody" official-knowledge claim

The Impossible Timeline and Surrender threads rest on a specific conflict recorded in the master file: court documents reportedly show Robinson was Mirandized at 6:25 p.m. on September 11, yet the 7:57 p.m. Discord "confession" and the 7:58–8:00 p.m. press conference (which released "enhanced" stairwell photos and rooftop video) both occurred after he was reportedly already in custody. The file lists roughly a dozen officials it says would have known this, including FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, SAIC Robert Bohls, Governor Spencer Cox, Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson, Utah County Sheriff Mike Smith, Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby, and retired detective Scott Messinger. The file also notes Sheriff Brooksby resigned on March 27, 2026. All of this is presented as a reported timeline discrepancy and a disclosure demand, not as an accusation that any named person committed a crime.

Open disclosure targets

Investigators continue to call for:

  • Full UVU, Ring, WYZE, and TPUSA camera archives with chain of custody
  • Washington County lobby CCTV and deputy bodycam from the surrender intake
  • Discord forensic extractions with authentication metadata (not screenshot photos)
  • ATF/FBI VCM examination with defense observer or videotape
  • Cell-site location records for the Orem–St. George route on September 10–11

The Charlie Kirk Investigation Laws are framed as one path toward that disclosure.

What Investigators Are Watching (Routing Notes)

Cross-cutting X claim-sets that should be read with the pages in this index:

  1. Confession / Discord dumps — Posobiec-amplified Substack + Jul 2026 Kolvet-linked text screenshots.
  2. Rifle discovery narrative@JohnMcCloy (Jul 9, 2026) recirculated Mauser photos: towel, cardboard box, wooded area across from UVU, assembled rifle, spent .30-06, etched bullets.
  3. Patsy vs lone actor — open argument on X whether profile + security gaps fit a solo shooter.
  4. Intel scope shut-down claims — Patel / Gabbard / Joe Kent foreign-probe controversy (see U.S. Intelligence).

Tyler Robinson — Risk of Assassination

Baron Coleman says on camera that the accused is in grave danger because he was never supposed to survive this long. It is a stated opinion from an attorney and commentator, recorded with attribution and adjudicated by no court.

Bates-stamped discovery puts Robinson Mirandized at about 6:25 PM. The confession is timestamped roughly ninety minutes later, when his phone should already have been in county custody.

Acoustic Two-Event Split

Broadcast audio at 48 kHz reportedly separates a distant muzzle blast from a louder event about 46 meters away at the stage. Two sounds, two distances — and the fatal mechanism may not be the rooftop rifle.

Two excerpts from the preliminary hearing transcript. The upper excerpt is examination about whether the interior of the barrel was inspected and whether it had debris or dust, with the answer that notes state debris and dust were observed inside the barrel. The lower excerpt is examination about measuring the bullet, with the answer that the range of the diameter was .286 to .301 inches.

Barrel Dust & Bullet Diameter

An ATF examiner testified that dust and debris were observed inside the seized barrel, and measured the jacket fragment at .286 to .301 inches — under the .308 a .30-06 fires. The counterarguments are here too: a deformed jacket measures small, and a fired barrel still collects dust.
