Open Questions About the Courtyard Request — Maycee Crofts
UVU's own After-Action Report (September 25, 2026) says the request for the September 10, 2025 Fountain Courtyard event did not start with the local club. The first email came from the UVU TPUSA club president, Caleb Chilcutt, but he wrote it "at the request of" TPUSA field representative Maycee Crofts (report pp. 39–40). For a year the public story had been that the event was the club's idea. This page sets out the questions that one commentator, Sam Parker, is now asking about that request. They are questions, not findings. Nothing here says Crofts or Chilcutt did anything wrong.

According to the report, the July 10, 2025 email from the club president to UVU Club Services reads: "My field representative for Turning Point USA has asked me to reach out to UVU club department to ask about availability on hosting an event on the courtyard on September 10th from 9 AM to 4 PM. She is being quite vague on what this event is." The UVU overview carries the @LemmeReact video that reads that email aloud.
The report also says UVU staff raised concerns about the outdoor courtyard at the August 25 planning meeting, yet TPUSA kept the venue (report pp. 17–18). And it says Crofts and the club president did not answer the review team's calls or certified letters (pp. 6–7). Their side is not on record. Readers should hold every question below against that gap.
Sam Parker's five questions
On September 26, 2026, @BasedSamParker (Sam Parker, 148k followers) posted the video at right under the title "$64 BILLION QUESTIONS: MAYCEE CROFTS EDITION," tagging @RealCandaceO and @GenFlynn. The post drew about 109,000 views, 3,000 likes and 750 reposts in its first day. According to Parker, the open questions are:
- "Who told Maycee Crofts to (allegedly) instruct Caleb Chilcutt to request the event?"
- "Why was Maycee so insistent on the fountain courtyard even though UVU advised against it?"
- "Why did she (allegedly) let the whole world believe the idea for the event was Caleb Chilcutt's when she knew it wasn't?"
- "Why did she lock all her accounts and go dark instead of just telling us who asked her (allegedly) to order the event? She could wash her hands of this with one name."
- "Is she the unnamed woman who moved Hunter Kozak to the front of the line?"
Parker hedges his own post with "allegedly," and he closes the video by saying, "I'm not accusing either of these people of wrongdoing." His argument is about the chain of the request: if a field representative asked for the courtyard, someone may have asked her, and one name would answer it.
Hunter Kozak's account of being moved forward
The middle of Parker's video is a clip of Hunter Kozak, the student who asked the last question before the shot, describing how he got to the microphone. The interviewer is not identified in the clip. Kozak says he signed up on a sheet on the flyer being handed out, and that his question was approved that day, not submitted in advance. Then:
"Everyone's just sort of like setting up camp and like milling around. And I didn't even really see like exactly a line. I just find a Turning Point employee. I don't know if they're like a volunteer or whatever. And I asked her, hey, like, where do I get in line? She's like, well, what do you want to ask him? And I sort of like give my little spiel. She said, that's perfect. And then she found me. She just put me in line and I was probably like 8th or so in line. Then they started going through and actually like filtering. … I think I was the only liberal in that entire line and they pushed me forward."
Asked who that person was, Kozak says: "I don't know her name." He puts the move at "probably like 15 minutes before the event," and describes a first line plus a second, filtered line directly in front of Charlie.
What this does and does not show. Kozak says a woman he took to be TPUSA staff placed him in line, and that staff later moved him forward. He does not name her. Parker then shows courtyard footage, circles a woman in TPUSA gear and orange sunglasses near the line, and says it is Crofts. He says she "walk[s] off just before the bang." This site has not verified who the circled woman is, or that she is the woman Kozak describes. Picking a questioner who disagrees with the speaker is also the normal format of a "Prove Me Wrong" table. The question is who chose the order of the last questions, and why no one has said so.
The year of silence Parker points to
Parker also turns the question on Chilcutt. In the video he asks why Chilcutt "let an entire year go by" without saying the request came from above him. He says that in that year Chilcutt received a special award from TPUSA and was promoted to field representative. This site has not confirmed the promotion. Chilcutt's Courage Award is covered on his profile, along with his own account of being asked to leave the area 30 seconds before the shot.
Parker's claim that Crofts "locked all her accounts and [went] dark" is his own description. This site has not documented when any account changed. Declining to talk to reviewers or the public is not evidence of wrongdoing, and people connected to a killing often go quiet for their own safety.

Following the explosive revelation in UVU's after-action report that it was Maycee Crofts who first requested the Fountain Courtyard event on September 10th, and not UVU chapter president Caleb Chilcutt, several questions remain. First, who put Maycee Crofts up to it? Who's upstream of her? Next, was Maycee Crofts the unnamed woman who moved Hunter Kozak to the front of the line to ask the famous transgender shootings question? And finally, why has Maycee locked all of her accounts and gone dark rather than just answering the question? Maycee, who told you to ask Caleb Chilcutt to request the event? Very easy. If you have nothing to hide, why not just tell us? Now, let's listen to Hunter Kozak tell how he was moved to the front of the line.

Interviewer: Can you walk us through how you ended up being the person to ask Charlie a question? How does that process work?
Kozak: Yeah, [Turning Point] USA. Well, it was kind of approved through two different things.
Interviewer: So you're saying that you didn't submit your question, like, days prior. It was that day.
Kozak: No, there was like a sign-up sheet. On the flyer they were handing out, it was like, sign up here, and I put my name down and said I would be there.
Interviewer: Okay, so you told them your question that day and it was approved that day.
Kozak: Yeah, yeah.
Interviewer: And then they decided, after evaluating everyone's questions, to put you second in line.

So there's Maycee Crofts, and there's Hunter Kozak, and there's Maycee Crofts talking to the people in line. Was she the woman who moved Hunter up to the front of the line? Let's take a look. There she is, circled right there, and there's Hunter Kozak asking his question. You can see her walk off just before the bang, right here. Boom, she walks off, and then boom, there's the bang. There she is. There's another look, wearing the TPUSA gear. Orange sunglasses. Who's upstream of Maycee in this order chain? And why did she let everybody think for the entire last year that it was Caleb Chilcutt's idea when she knew that wasn't true? And for his part, why did Caleb Chilcutt let an entire year go by — a year that saw him receive a special award from TPUSA and then also get promoted to field representative? I'm not accusing either of these people of wrongdoing, but I do find it extremely curious that they did not speak forth the truth over the last year. And I want to know what's going on.
