What Is Said​

One speaker, describing what they saw and heard from the crowd:

All of a sudden I heard just one pop. Saw Charlie all of a sudden like fall. His head kind of fell back. And blood was just gushing out of his neck.

Four separate observations are packed into that sentence, and each of them is load-bearing somewhere else in this investigation.

"Just one pop." A single report, and the word chosen is "pop" rather than crack, boom or bang. Researchers on this site have gathered a run of same-day witness statements using the same soft, small-calibre vocabulary, which is one of the threads feeding the dispute over what was fired and from where. Note also that this witness heard one report, where other accounts describe two.

"Saw Charlie all of a sudden like fall." No delay is described between the report and the collapse.

"His head kind of fell back." A backward head movement, which is what the frame-by-frame trajectory arguments elsewhere on the site try to reconcile with an entry direction.

"Blood was just gushing out of his neck." This is the reason the clip matters most. On the same day, and in several cases within the same hour, other on-camera witnesses were telling live television that Kirk had been hit in the heart or the chest. This witness, describing the same seconds, places the injury at the neck. That is the account later reporting converged on.

This is one person's recollection, given in the minutes and hours after a violent event, and the ordinary caveats apply: memory under shock is unreliable, and lay descriptions of wound location are approximations. The site records it as an account, not as a medical finding.
