What This Video Is
A slow-motion clip posted to X by @aducarrabh — display name Harold Barracuda — at 21:04 UTC on September 10, 2025, roughly eight hours after the shooting. The recorded engagement is 445 likes, 85 reposts and about 238,000 views.
No copy of the media is held. There is no local file, no transcription and no visual description on record. Everything below therefore describes what the post asserts the video shows, not what an examiner has watched. That distinction should be kept in mind for the whole page.
The clip is not original footage. It is somebody else's capture of the event, slowed down and reposted with a caption supplying the interpretation.
What Is Said
The claim is in the post text rather than in narration. The poster wrote:
Something whizzes by Charlie Kirk a split second before impact. The bullet also appears to have, indeed, ricocheted off of his vest and through his neck. Watch in slow motion.
That is three separate assertions bundled into one sentence, and they are worth separating:
- An object passes through frame shortly before the impact.
- Charlie Kirk was wearing a vest.
- The round struck that vest and deflected upward into his neck.
Only the first is even potentially a visual observation. The second and third are inferences about what a projectile did inside and against clothing, which no slowed video frame can show. The poster offers no basis for the vest premise; the vest-and-body-armour thread runs through several posts made in the same hours by different accounts, and none of the surviving material in this corpus establishes it.

What The Footage Shows

What can be said about the class of claim: slowed, re-compressed phone footage routinely produces bright or dark transient blobs from codec artefacts, dust, insects and lens flare, and "something whizzes by" is the single most common artefact reading in this entire corpus. A ricochet path off body armour into the neck is a forensic conclusion that would require the wound track, the recovered fragment and the garment — none of which are in this clip, and the physical evidence that does exist has not settled the question either way.
