A clip reposted to X by @its_The_Dr — display name Johnny Midnight — at 00:12 UTC on September 12, 2025, about a day and a half after the shooting. Recorded engagement: 232 likes, 70 reposts, roughly 62,000 views. The reposter's own framing was: "Wow. I didn't know this, Charlie Kirk was actually shot in the heart but he was wearing body armor the bullet fragmented and hit his throat. According to this man."
Note that last phrase. The reposter himself attributes it to an unnamed speaker rather than asserting it.

On motive, quoting Kirk at second hand: "why was Charlie wearing body armor? Because Charlie was telling people that he thought Israel was going to kill him ... Charlie was recently on the PBD podcast, and he was talking about how October seventh, that Israel had to have stood down."
On the final question from the audience: "I want to know who asked that question. Because that was very leading, and it sure seemed like it was the trigger point."
On the investigation: "then you got your patsy, and they didn't catch this guy. And now you got Kash Patel out there, still looking like a fool because he has no control over the FBI and is getting fed bad information ... They caught a guy with a pellet gun ... and then some old homeless man."
