Candace Owens on the 2019 Wiesenthal Center Meeting
What This Video Is
A 5 minute 46 second vertical repost held in the investigation's own capture archive rather than pulled from a live post, so no original poster, permalink or upload date travels with the file. It is a two-part edit. The first ninety seconds are an unnamed commentator talking straight into a phone camera in a dim home studio. The remaining four minutes are a lifted segment of Candace Owens' own podcast, which in turn contains archival stage footage of Owens from an earlier London appearance.
None of this is footage from September 10, 2025. It sits in the censorship cluster because of the mechanism it describes rather than the event it records: how a commentator who says something unpopular is pressured, and what it reportedly takes to be restored.
What Is Said
The opening speaker is not identified anywhere in the file. He talks over a monitor showing an image of Benjamin Netanyahu with the word "GENOCIDE" superimposed. He asserts that there is an organised system of pressure over celebrities, politicians and "up and coming media hosts, podcasters," and describes it in his own words as "basically type of blackmail and it's almost like a psyop setup operation." His account of how it runs: a rising figure is manoeuvred into saying something indefensible, the press amplifies it, and the person is then taken to Israel to sit with a rabbi and receive a blessing, after which "all the media stops, all the hip pieces drop." He uses religious-identity language for the group he holds responsible. That is his characterisation and his alone. Nothing on this site adopts it, and no part of it is established fact.
At roughly 1:33 the video cuts to Owens. She first re-runs the archival clip that caused her trouble, in which she says she has no problem with nationalism, only globalism, and adds the line that became the headline: "if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine," immediately followed by her stated objection that he "had dreams outside of Germany."
From about 2:39 Owens narrates the aftermath in the present tense of the podcast. She says the online campaign against her was "inorganic," that "this was a hit," and that the clip was pulled without context. She says the Simon Wiesenthal Center issued a statement against her comments. She says she now reads the episode as an attempt to separate her from Charlie Kirk: "I didn't realize this was a matrix of people who wanted to pull me and Charlie apart... They wanted to put pressure on him. So donors would pressure him."
She then describes PragerU offering her a job in early 2019, notes that PragerU's chief executive Marissa Streit has spoken publicly about having worked in IDF intelligence, and says Streit took her to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, where "some chief rabbi looking character and him and her spoke in Hebrew. I didn't understand a word of what was said in front of me. And then we left and everything was fine. My reputation was restored." These are Owens' recollections of her own experience, offered on her own show. They are not findings, and no wrongdoing by any named person is established by them.
Her closing observation is the one most relevant to this investigation. Speaking of Turning Point USA in that period she says she remembers "speaking at their conferences and saying that they were now running like a military operation. It was so efficient on time. It was tactical," and adds that she "did not realize at that time how prescient that thought would become."
What The Footage Shows
Very little that is independently verifiable. Shot by shot: a handheld medium close-up of the commentator from 00:00 to about 01:32, with the Netanyahu graphic behind him; Owens in her studio at 01:33; archival wide shots of Owens on a stage with a plain grey backdrop from about 01:37 to 02:38, cut once to men in suits in the audience; a full-screen graphic of a headline from The Hill quoting the Hitler line at about 02:50; and Owens back in the studio for the remainder.
The frames are entirely talking heads and one archival speech. The clip argues that a control system exists; what it actually shows is one commentator asserting that, and a second commentator recounting her own memory of a reputational crisis and a meeting. That gap between claim and image is worth holding onto when the clip is cited.
