The Two-Minute Excerpt: Kirk Asks Kelly About Intelligence Involvement
What This Video Is
Two minutes fourteen seconds, cut from the full Charlie Kirk and Megyn Kelly conversation at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa on 11 July 2025. The full thirty-two minute recording is also filed in this section; this is roughly six per cent of it, and it is the six per cent that circulated.
The clip carries an on-screen location and date graphic reading Florida, US and 11 July 2025, plus a Rumble watermark, which makes it unusually easy to verify against the parent recording. The title it circulates under is not the speakers' own framing of what they said, and the distinction matters, as the excerpt itself makes clear.
What Is Said
Kirk asks the question that opens the excerpt: "Do you think there's any Intel community involvement in this?"
Kelly answers "I wouldn't be surprised one bit," and says her position rests on her own work: "I am convinced based on my own sources and my own reporting on this story. He wasn't one of ours." Having ruled out an American service, she narrows the field to three foreign ones. Asked by Kirk which she would choose, she names one and gives her reason as an association rather than as evidence.
Both then withdraw from the assertion in the same breath, and this is the part that is routinely dropped when the clip is shared. Kelly: "It could be. I really don't know. And I have no evidence to suggest that, I'm just..." Kirk: "No, me neither."
Between those two moments Kirk polls the hall and reports the result himself: "How many people here believe that? Raise your hand. Okay, it's about half the hands think that it's being buried because of an Israeli thing." That count is Kirk's own estimate from the stage, not a survey.
Kelly then pivots to what she calls the odd part, which is not the theory but an official's answer to a question about it. She characterises a cabinet-meeting response as evasive and calls it "a fishy answer." That is her characterisation of a living official; no reply from the official appears in the clip and this site does not adopt it.
Kirk raises the reported account attributed to Alexander Acosta, the former United States attorney, that he had been told to treat the case carefully. Kelly draws out the operational consequence she sees in it: the resulting search warrant "was very, very narrowly tailored. It was not the kind of, let's get everything... And to this day, that's what the FBI is stuck with."
She finishes with the deflationary possibility rather than the dramatic one, describing a scenario in which current officials opened the holdings and found nothing of consequence: "we did not find the magic documents or photos or evidence of anything. And why not? I don't know, we'll ever know why not."
Read whole, the exchange is more cautious than its headline. Two commentators speculate about a foreign intelligence connection, both state on the record that they have no evidence for it, and the strongest documented item either of them cites is a reported remark by a former prosecutor and its effect on the scope of a warrant.

A conventional two-camera stage capture: a close-up of the pair seated in white armchairs, a wide shot with name and date graphics, a close-up on Kelly, and at about thirty-six seconds an extreme wide shot of the stage and the audience with hands raised. That wide shot is the only independent visual check on the show-of-hands count Kirk reports.
