And we were going back and forth on which stop would make the most sense... And we settled on Virginia Tech a while ago. And he was so looking forward to this."
She relays a message she attributes to Erika Kirk: that Charlie had been looking forward to the date, that his widow is proud of the students for showing up, and "that she's got your back. Turning point has got your back."

Her framing of why she came is a statement about speech rather than about the case: "we will not be silenced by an assassin's bullet, by a heckler's veto, by a left wing woke professor, or anyone who tries to silence us."

The second half turns on safety in numbers, and here she reads the "we are all Charlie Kirk" slogan back as something operational rather than sentimental: "If you say it, and you say it, and you say it... then it is less dangerous for me to be up here, or for you to be up here the next time."
She closes on an argument she volunteers about her own experience of being removed from a job, saying she has come to see it as separating a person from a place they did not belong. She also urges restraint toward opponents: "Be respectful of the other side, just like Charlie was. You don't have to own your professor."
Nothing in this speech addresses the investigation, the suspect, the forensic questions or any theory of the killing. It is a record of the immediate political aftermath, and it should be read as that.
