The Annotated Aerial Reconstruction Of The Scene

What This Video Is

Two minutes and fifteen seconds of drone footage over the Utah Valley University courtyard, flown after the event and edited with labels laid over the picture. A watermark reading "TAYLER USA" sits in the corners. The archive holds it as Campus_Tour_Fly_Over.mp4 with no posting account recorded. It has not been published to IPFS, so a still frame stands in for the player.

This is a reconstruction, not evidence of the event. Nothing in it was filmed while anything was happening. Its value is spatial: it is the clearest single object in this collection for understanding how the pieces of the site relate to each other — where the stage was, what overlooks it, and how far apart the disputed positions actually are.

There is no speech at all. The automated transcript over the full running time returns only filler tokens, which is what a speech engine produces over music or ambient rotor noise. Nobody narrates; the argument is carried entirely by the on-screen labels.

What The Footage Shows

The flight is structured as a tour of four labelled claims.

  • 00:00 - 00:13 — The drone orbits over the courtyard and descends toward the terraced lawn.
  • 00:13 - 00:30 — It holds and zooms on the amphitheatre. Debris and paper are visible on the ground. A label reads "CHARLIE'S TENT" over a white canopy.
  • 00:30 - 00:41 — The drone pans and climbs over a large white-roofed building.
  • 00:41 - 00:46 — A high-angle shot of a service and parking area, labelled "ALLEGED SHOOTER LOCATION."
  • 00:46 - 01:00 — A fast flight across to a dark grey multi-tiered roof, with a yellow graphic line drawn along it.
  • 01:00 - 01:13 — A tracking shot along that roof, labelled "DIRECTION THE SHOOTER RAN" and "VIDEO OF SHOOTER ON ROOF WAS RECORDED."
  • 01:13 - 01:21 — A high wide shot taking in the pond, the parking lots and the mountains.
  • 01:21 - 01:25 — A closer view of the courtyard's UVU banners, including one reading "A PLACE FOR YOU."
  • 01:25 - 01:57 — Orbits of the grey-roofed building from several angles, keeping the yellow path line in view.
  • 01:57 - 02:15 — A slow forward push from the white roof down into the amphitheatre courtyard.

Only a few distant, indistinguishable figures appear anywhere in the footage. Rooftop plant, HVAC units, barrier tape or graphic lines and scattered debris are visible. Nobody is identifiable and nobody is named.

The distinction that matters here is between the flight and the labels. The flight is real, verifiable geography: those buildings stand in those relationships, those roofs have those sightlines, that courtyard is that size. Anyone can check it against a map. The labels are the editor's assertions laid on top — including the word "alleged," which the editor uses honestly for the firing position but drops when the yellow line is called the direction "the shooter" ran. The person filmed running has not been established by this footage or any other to be the person who fired, and that identification is exactly what is contested elsewhere on this site. Read the yellow line as "the route the running figure took," which is what the surveillance clips actually support.

With that substitution made, the reconstruction is genuinely useful. It shows in one continuous movement why the roof matters, how far the runner's route is from the claimed perch, and what a camera at each labelled point would have been able to see.
