Walking Out: The Lawn and the Cleared Stage

What This Video Is​

A 40-second vertical phone capture recorded from inside the crowd on the lawn at Utah Valley University, in the first minute or two after the September 10, 2025 shooting. It is a first-person walk-out: the operator is on their feet and moving, the lens spends much of the clip pointed at the ground, and there are no cuts. There is no watermark, no credit, and no source post — an anonymous capture in the investigation's own archive.

Of the six short clips in this cluster, this is the one that best documents the debris field left behind on the lawn.

What Is Said​

Almost nothing is intelligible. The audio is wall-to-wall screaming and shouting from the crowd. The machine transcript recovers exactly one line from a male voice near the microphone:

"Wait, this way!"

It is a direction being given to whoever is with the camera operator, redirecting them across the lawn. That is the whole of the recoverable speech. No one on this clip explains, narrates, or makes any claim about what happened.

What The Footage Shows​

The footage is narrower than the panic implies, and it is genuinely useful for one reason: it is a close, sustained look at what people left on the ground.

  • 00:00 - 00:07: Extreme close on legs and feet across grass. The camera drops to show a young woman crouched against a concrete retaining wall, then moves erratically over backpacks and personal items strewn on the lawn.
  • 00:07 - 00:12: Tilt down to a small American flag on a stick lying beside a concrete ledge, then a pan showing a person lying face down on the grass while others move past.
  • 00:12 - 00:20: The camera comes up and pans across young adults walking and jogging away from the building. Two women look back toward the lens with startled expressions; a third, in a red tank top, is steered forward by a hand on her shoulder.
  • 00:20 - 00:26: Left-to-right pan framing the white American Comeback Tour canopy, the metal event fencing, and a crowd near the amphitheatre seating.
  • 00:26 - 00:31: The camera passes under the concrete overhang, past a metal barrier, a reserved-parking sign, and a pile of boxes and refuse.
  • 00:31 - 00:37: A sweep across the empty stage and booth setup: blue branded tablecloths, a microphone stand, empty chairs. In the background people are running up the concrete steps.
  • 00:37 - 00:39: Pan back toward the covered walkway; people are walking away, one carrying a red umbrella.

Three observations are worth separating from the general chaos. First, the ground is covered in abandoned property — backpacks, discarded food trays, papers, a dropped flag — which is the signature of a crowd that left at speed rather than dispersing. Second, at 00:07 to 00:12 a person is lying face down on the grass while others run past; at this framing and distance the clip does not establish who that is or whether they were injured, and this page does not claim it. Third, the 00:31 sweep across the emptied stage area shows the microphone stand and the branded table still in place, which makes this one of the earlier available looks at the platform after it was cleared.

Nothing in the frames shows the shot, the shooter, or a rooftop. The event branding — the "Prove Me Wrong" canopy, the American Comeback Tour drape with its shield-and-lightning-bolt logo — confirms the venue and the event, nothing more.
