UVU Courtyard: Crowd Takes Cover at the Fountain
What This Video Is
A 16-second vertical phone capture from inside the crowd at the Utah Valley University courtyard on September 10, 2025, recorded within seconds of the shot. It is a bystander recording with no watermark, no uploader credit and no editing — a single continuous pan, held at chest height by someone who is themselves crouching. It sits in the investigation's own capture archive; there is no known original post to point back to, so treat it as an anonymous capture rather than as attributed media.
Of the six short "immediately after" clips in this cluster, this is the one shot closest to the stage, and the only one where the building signage places the location beyond argument.
What Is Said
There is no narration. The recoverable speech is short and panicked. The machine transcript reads in full:
"Oh my gosh. Oh, my gosh. No, stop. Charlie, stop. Charlie... Oh, my gosh."
A woman close to the microphone accounts for the repeated "Oh my gosh." The name "Charlie" is audible twice, called out from the crowd at roughly 0:04 and again around 0:07. The visual-description pass over the same audio also renders one of those calls as "Charlie stay down."
Two cautions apply to that. First, the transcript is machine output over screaming and wind, and the trailing word in the raw file ("charge") is almost certainly a mis-decode rather than a real utterance. Second, a crowd shouting a name does not establish who is in frame. What can be said is that people in the immediate vicinity were calling Charlie Kirk's name in the first seconds after the shot, which is consistent with every other bystander capture from the courtyard.
What The Footage Shows
The clip argues nothing. It records a crowd taking cover and then a distant security movement, and the two are not the same event.
- 00:00 - 00:02: Close on people ducking beside the concrete fountain, then a short pan right to the wider crowd and the building behind.
- 00:02 - 00:05: Wider on the crowd on the concrete steps; many are crouched or flat on the ground.
- 00:05 - 00:08: Pan back left to the crowd at the fountain and the white event tent.
- 00:08 - 00:10: Quick pan right; people in the foreground begin moving away.
- 00:10 - 00:13: Pan to center-left, framing the security barricade where personnel are moving.
- 00:13 - 00:16: Slight zoom on the security detail at a black SUV as the crowd continues to react.
Visible on the glass of the building behind the crowd are the letters "UVU" and the phrase "A PLACE FOR YOU" — this is Utah Valley University, and the fountain and stepped seating fix the camera in the courtyard. The white pop-up tent in frame is the American Comeback Tour setup; the automated description of this clip misreads its lettering as "AMERICAN CONSPIRACY," which is a transcription error in the description, not something written on the tent.
The final three seconds are the frames people cite. Security personnel are moving someone into a black SUV at the barricade line. At this distance, in a shaking vertical frame, the footage does not establish identity, and the page does not claim it. What the clip does establish is timing: a vehicle at the barricade, with a protective detail around it, within roughly fifteen seconds of the crowd going to ground.
