What This Video Is
A second copy of the same nine-minute news pool B-roll reel held elsewhere in this cluster as afternongraphic8. Identical runtime, identical shot order, identical soundtrack. The ".ia" in the filename marks it as an Internet Archive retrieval of the same asset, kept because a second independently obtained copy of a news reel is worth having when the question of what was released and what was later withdrawn is live.
It is professionally shot: drone aerials, tripod-steady ground work, a moderate cut rhythm, natural sound and no reporter track. The content is a survey of the Utah Valley University campus as an active crime scene on and just after September 10, 2025.
Because this is a duplicate, the full analysis lives on the primary page. What follows is the reason this copy earns its own entry: an independent description pass over the same frames read several details differently, and the differences are worth recording.
What Is Said
The same single audible instruction, at roughly 2:13, from an officer working the cordon line:
"We're gonna be expanding our search area, and so, um, I actually need you to come outside the perimeter and everything. Thank you. I appreciate it."
Followed by fragments: "we're gonna shut these things out. Give them a little bit of space, and they think they can just..." and "Oh, no, you have the wrong one." Everything else is ambience — fountains, engines, traffic.
What The Footage Shows
The shot list matches the primary copy. Three readings differ between the two description passes over the same frames, and neither pass is authoritative:
The tripod equipment at 2:13. The first pass reads it as an investigator in blue nitrile gloves setting a camera on a tripod. This pass reads it as a female forensic technician setting up a 3D scanner on a tripod beside a parking sign. Whether the campus scene was laser-scanned or only photographed is a real question for anyone assessing how the exterior scene was documented, and this reel is one of the few visual records of the equipment actually deployed.
The officer at the tape line. The first pass reads the name on the vest as L. LESSLEY. This pass reads the badge as E. LEGGEY. Two automated readings of the same low-resolution name tape, disagreeing. Neither should be quoted as an identification.
The barricaded classrooms. This pass names a third room, PS 115, alongside PS 004 and PS 005, and describes the barricading in more detail: overturned black plastic chairs, heavy stones, and black electrical cords wrapped tightly around brass doorknobs, secured from the inside. Whiteboards inside carry physics and electrical engineering equations; desks still hold laptops, notebooks, backpacks and water bottles. The picture is of rooms locked down from within and then evacuated fast enough that people left their belongings.
Also visible in this pass and worth listing: an aluminium extension ladder against the exterior concrete wall, returned to in three separate shots at 1:17, 1:33 and again in the wide at 1:25; Utah Highway Patrol cruisers alongside Lehi City Police units in the cordon; press photographers standing behind the caution tape at 2:49; a person in an FBI shirt working behind a barricade at 4:57; and the American Comeback Tour and "Prove Me Wrong" banners still standing in the fenced plaza under the overpass.
The reel closes, as the primary copy does, on members of the public laying flowers at the base of the green "Utah Valley University" sign.
