News B-Roll: UVU Crime Scene, Ladder, and Barricaded Classrooms
What This Video Is
Nine minutes of news B-roll from the Utah Valley University campus on and immediately after September 10, 2025. This is not a bystander phone capture. It is a professionally shot pool reel: drone aerials, tripod-steady ground shots, a moderate cut rhythm, and a "milwaukee journal sentinel" watermark in the top right corner. A caption card at the head of the file reads "This video clip is audio only," which is a pool-distribution label indicating the reel ships with natural sound rather than a reporter track.
The filename — "after, non-graphic, 8" — marks it as one of a numbered set of aftermath reels selected for containing no graphic imagery. It is the longest and by a wide margin the most information-dense item in this cluster, and it is the only one shot with equipment rather than a phone.
An effectively identical second copy of the same reel is filed alongside it as afternongraphic8.ia. Same runtime, same transcript, same content.
What Is Said
There is no narration and no interview. The only intelligible speech in nine minutes is a single law-enforcement instruction, audible around 2:13 as an officer works the cordon line:
"We're gonna be expanding our search area, and so, um, I actually need you to come outside the perimeter and everything. Thank you. I appreciate it."
A second, fragmentary exchange follows: "we're gonna shut these things out. Give them a little bit of space, and they think they can just..." and later "Oh, no, you have the wrong one."
That first line is the one that carries weight. It is an officer, on scene, telling press or bystanders that the search area is being expanded and that they must move further out. It documents a cordon that was still growing after the initial perimeter was set — a small but datable fact about how the scene was managed, spoken by the people managing it.
Everything else on the soundtrack is ambience: fountains, traffic, birds, vehicle engines.
What The Footage Shows
The reel is a survey of the scene, not an argument. Its value is in specific frames that other footage does not give you.
Aerials, 00:00 to 01:08. Drone passes over the campus courtyard, the Sorensen Center, and — in a separate hold — the building's grey gravel roof. Nine minutes of B-roll that includes a deliberate aerial of the roof surface is worth noting on its own.
The parking lot cordon, 01:08 to 04:38. A red fire engine, marked Ford Police Interceptor units, Utah Highway Patrol and state trooper vehicles, and a white Lehi City Police F-150 Lightning are held behind "SHERIFF LINE DO NOT CROSS" and "CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS" tape. Repeated shots at 01:16, 01:32 and 02:23 return to the same subject: a metal ladder propped against the concrete facade of the building, leading up. At 02:12 an investigator in a black shirt, black cap and blue nitrile gloves sets a camera on a tripod facing the building; the second description of this same reel reads the same equipment as a 3D scanning rig. At 05:04 a man in an FBI jacket and cap stands beside a tripod-mounted camera behind a gate. At 02:57 to 03:27 an officer whose vest reads L. LESSLEY speaks with a woman at the tape line.
The event footprint, 04:38 to 05:27. The white American Comeback Tour canopy still standing under the concrete walkway, with the Turning Point USA and Yrefy sponsor banners intact and an officer walking the barricade beside them. This is the tent in place, before the site was altered.
Interiors, 05:27 to 07:36. The camera goes inside the science building. A Foucault pendulum swings over a mineral display. Then a long, unusually deliberate sequence on two classroom doors, PS 004 and PS 005: a chair on its side in the hallway with a black cord tied to its leg, the same cord tied to a brass doorknob, and desks inside holding abandoned backpacks, laptops, a soda can, an orange water bottle, and a notebook with a pen still resting on it. Both doors carry the notice "This classroom is being live-streamed and recorded." The read that fits the frames is a lockdown barricade improvised from a chair and a cord, and an evacuation fast enough that students left their bags.
Memorial, 07:36 to end. Yellow tape wrapped around a bicycle still chained to a lamppost. A fence hung with American flags. The green UVU campus sign with bouquets on the grass, and a middle-aged man in a veteran's cap laying white roses among them.
Two things this reel does not show, despite its length: the shooting, and any recognisable individual connected to the investigation other than uniformed responders. It is scene documentation.
